Concert, Live, Audience, People, Crowd, PartyCharlotte has a lot of exciting concerts coming this fall, especially at the Fillmore Charlotte. But there are many others as well, at different venues, and featuring artists of diverse talents and styles. Check out these four as a start, and see if there are some that you might enjoy.

Band of Horses

Band of Horses is playing at the Fillmore Charlotte on October 28. At this time, an opening act has not been announced. You can purchase tickets by contacting the Fillmore Charlotte or using one of the numerous online ticket agencies. Tickets cost between $60 and $230.

Band of Horses is an American rock band that formed in Seattle around 2004. The band’s sound is often lumped into the indie rock genre. Like many other bands formed around this time, though, Band of Horses has a more rock-oriented sound than most indie acts. If you like soaring melodies and guitar-driven songs, check out Band of Horses, and see if their concert might be right for you.

Sonata Arctica

Sonata Arctica has a concert scheduled for November 6 at the Fillmore Charlotte. The band is playing with Leaves’ Eyes and Omnium Gatherum. You can purchase tickets from the Fillmore Charlotte’s box office or through online vendors. Tickets start at $40. For the best seats, you can expect to pay up to $200.

Sonata Arctica is a power metal band from Finland. Formed in 1995, it has honed its sound while creating eight studio albums. The most recent album was released in 2014. Like many Finish metal bands, Sonata Arctica has a loud, aggressive sound dominated by distorted guitar riffs and fast drumming. The band is a bit loud for some people, but there’s no denying the skill of every musician in the group.

Carrie Underwood

If you prefer a pop-country sound, plan to see Carrie Underwood at the Time Warner Cable Arena on October 23. Tickets start at $50. You can buy them through the Time Warner Cable Arena’s box office or from an online seller.

Carrie Underwood solidified her reputation as a singer by winning the fourth season of American Idol. Since then, she has won seven Grammy Awards, 12 Academy of Country Music Awards, and 17 Billboard Music Awards. She’s only 33, but she already has an impressive career. If you have a chance to see her for just $50, you should take it, especially if you’re a fan of modern country music.

Fitz and the Tantrums

The Fillmore Charlotte has a lot of fun bands planned for this fall. Fitz and the Tantrums might be one of the most energetic ones on the roster. The band will play on November 9. At this time, an opening act has not been announced. Tickets cost between $50 and $200, depending on where you want to sit.

Fitz and the Tantrums is a neo-funk group that uses a lot of electronics. The latest album contains a lot of dance tracks, so don’t expect to spend much time in your seat.

These are just a few of the dozens of acts appearing in Charlotte this fall. Just keep your eyes open for more announcements.
